Courses Offered

Infinity Chinese School offers three different tracks of Mandarin Chinese courses to accommodate students of various grade levels and language proficiency.

Our Level 1 - 4 and AP Chinese courses are commonly referred to as Accredited Classes because of their recognition and credit-granting status. The Fremont Unified School District specifically grants foreign language credit to their 7-12 grade students who enroll in these courses. Additionally, students from other public school districts or private schools may be eligible for credit for participating in these classes, provided they receive advance approval from their principal. Completion of these courses enables students to meet their high school graduation requirements and enhances their college applications.

Accredited High School Courses
Chinese Level 1 to Level 5 (AP Chinese)

  • Meets the foreign language requirements for high school graduation. Credits are accepted by US colleges including the Ivy Leagues, private colleges, and UCs.

  • Courses are aligned with public high school textbooks and levels. Student grades can be recorded on their high school transcript and be factored in when calculating high school GPA. Their AP Chinese grade will be weighed up to 5 points as other high school AP courses are.

  • Fremont, Milpitas, and Pleasanton public school districts as well as Fremont Christian School have all accepted our course credits as official high school foreign language credits.

Accredited Middle School Courses
Chinese Level 1 to Level 3

  • Provide junior high school foreign language credits for G7–G8 students. G8 students who have successfully completed the course study will be able to register for the next level course without taking the proficiency test or entrance assessment held by the high school.

  • Classes use the same textbook as the high school courses, Integrated Chinese. The grades obtained by G7–G8 students can be recorded on their school transcript and used to calculate GPA.

  • The bridging course specially designed and implemented to help G6 students transitioning to the credit classes later uses Integrated Chinese as a textbook as well.

Elementary School Courses
Chinese Grades 1 - 5

  • G1-G5 courses use Mei Zhou Chinese, teaching materials compiled by California Chinese teachers focusing on phonetics, vocabulary, situational    communication, and human sciences.

  • G1-G4 classes are 2 hours a week. Each grade will complete one volume of Mei Zhou Chinese. The G5 Chinese class is three hours each week. The content is carefully selected from both the fifth and sixth volumes of Mei Zhou Chinese to prepare students for middle school courses.

  • For G1-G2 students, extracurricular art classes are offered. For G3-G4 students, a conversation and writing class focused on improving listening, speaking, and writing skills in a fun and friendly environment is available.

About Us

Founded in 2005, Infinity Chinese School was originally a brick-and-mortar institution that offered Mandarin Chinese language classes to neighboring students on Saturday mornings at Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, CA. In March 2020, it transitioned to online teaching in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and decided to remain as an online school post-pandemic.

Racially Nondiscriminatory Policy

Infinity Chinese School is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive learning environment for all students. We believe that diversity is a strength and that every student should be treated with respect and dignity regardless of their race, color, or national or ethnic origin.

To uphold this commitment, we declare a racially nondiscriminatory policy that affirms the following principles:

  1. The school admits students of any race to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.

  2. The school does not discriminate against applicants and students on the basis of race, color, or national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, and other school-administered programs.

  3. The school takes affirmative action to ensure that all students are afforded an equal opportunity to participate in its programs and activities.

We are committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all students, and we will not tolerate any form of discrimination based on race, color, or national or ethnic origin. We will continually review and evaluate our policies and practices to ensure that we are promoting a racially nondiscriminatory environment that upholds the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
